BlackBerry Curve 9350, 9360 and 9370, Now Launched
RIM has just released an announcement that their three new BlackBerry models, the Curve 9350, 9360 and 9370, are going to be launched soon. RIM has not given any specific details on the various models but sources say that the 9350 is a CDMA model, the 9360 is a GSM model and the 9370 is a world phone including a dual mode CDMA as well as GSM connectivity.
According to Mike Laziridis who is the RIM CEO, “The new BlackBerry Curve smartphones are absolutely stunning and offer a significant performance upgrade with an unmatched mobile social experience for the millions of feature phone users in the market as well as our existing Curve customers.”
Touch screen is not a feature of any of the three new BlackBerry units. However, all of the units will feature a track pad as well as the iconic QWERTY keyboard. Each of the handsets will also have GPS, Wi-Fi and a 5MP camera including a flash and video capabilities. The new BlackBerry Curve units will feature the new BlackBerry 7 operating system that showcases the second generation WebKit browser of RIM. This will allow for 40% faster browsing compared to the BlackBerry 6 operating system.
The new BlackBerry Curve handsets will have 2.44 inch displays at 360×480 pixels at 246 ppi. The Curve 9350 and 9360 will include 512MB of RAM with an expansion of up to 32GB microSD card. The Curve 9370 will also feature 512MB of RAM but will have a 1GB storage included in the package. It can also be expanded to 32GB microSD card.
The BlackBerry Curve 9350, 9360 and 9370 will all be available this month in Canada and next month, the rest of the world can get their hands on these. There will also be other dates for the launch of BlackBerry Curve 9350, 9360 and 9370 in other carriers who are partners of RIM. There were reports that T-Mobile will launch the BlackBerry Curve 9350, 9360 and 9370 models on September 14.
