Aiptek Pocket Cinema Review
The Aiptek Pocket Cinema is a really cool gadget that you will surely love if you are into technology. This unit is capable to bring the cinema with you and it is perfect for traveling. You must always remember that it is delicate so you will need to treat it well. In return you will get something special in a gadget that is basically the size of a mobile phone. Although really small, the Aiptek Pocket Cinema can project movies and images on a screen or wall. You will basically get the posibility to carry around with you a projector that can put up a picture of 50 inchs without any problems attached.
Aiptek really managed to build a good looking gadget. The only real problem stands in image quality, although it might not be anything that you can not go over. You will get a bright and nice image on any prepared surface. This is for sure. You do realize that a diagonal viw of 50 inches is great for th regular user and we have a rsolution of 640 X 480. If you have a tripod then all will be even better. File formats supported by the Aiptek Pocket Cinema include AVI, ASF, MEPG4 and JPEG.
The tiny projector can be attached to any personal computer that runs on Windows 2000, XP or Vista, while having a processor of 800 MHz and 256 MB RAM memory. The internal memory offered by the Aiptek Pocket Cinema is 1 GB and you can make it bigger as it supports flash drives and SD memory cards. A remote control can make everything even better.
You have to remember that a full battery charge will allow you to use the mini projector for 1 hour. If you want to watch movies you will need an AC adapter or a USB hub.
Aiptek Pocket Cinema Verdict
Well, the Aiptek Pocket Cinema is not at all perfect and might be a little too expensive for some pockets. The good news is that it is unique and impressive to have. It can aid you in the office and does offer a hug degree of portability.

Did you actually use it or just read the blurb?
This Aiptek device is crap … firstly, there’s no VGA input. Any talk of plugging it into a laptop is just not true unless your laptop has some form of TV output.
Further, the device wouldn’t play any video files converted using the included software, and would only convey the image over A/V inputs, not sound … http://www.itwire.com/content/view/21853/532/
I’m taking mine back for a full refund.

The benefits from the Aiptek Pocket Projector are not obtained necessarily from how good it is. It is great because of the size. We did not use the included software as we already have our own software and it did work fine with the files we converted. Sound did work right!
This projector is not at all for the home user. It is more for the office user. It can only work for 1 hour so you can not expect to look at movies on it. If you want to do a quick presentation it does work and portability is real. Most laptops out there that are used for presentations have TV output
We are talking about using Aiptek’s projector in a combination with suitable hardware

I’ve owned one of the pocket cinema v10’s for well over 3 week’s now… at 1st I was not hope in for much as to the size…. but!! after connecting it to my pc gfx card and hav’in a good screen to project too, I was well away watching football on a 50+ inch screen…
I hear you say yea but it’s only got a 45min running time and lawzy sound… with some help from my usb fan and im suround sound system I already have it’s great without heat trouble
Love it for watching a few highlight’s of footy on the run too with compatible 8gb SD cards out on the market
over all yes it’s not going to give you a full out HD screen picture as some more expensive projector’s out there do…all tho it will keep you happy if you looking for a portable projector
Note: if you where looking to connect this little bundle of joy to your dvd player and or freeview/ sat box, it’s very easy with a few cheap cables

it would be cool if it you could watch free-to-air channels on it… and have a longer lasting battery or make it more energy efficient… it costs 427 aussie dollars (retail), i might as well buy a xbox 360.
